How tall?

After spending 3 months working and hiking in the Swiss Alps, people back home often had the same question when I spoke about my hikes. “How tall is that?” As I thought I was normal, I would respond with “1,550 meters”. This was always met with, “Yeah, but how tall is that? What does that look like?”

Using 3D modelling, the project How tall? was created to show the height of my hikes in a way that people who haven’t seen the mountains can understand. A scale of 1cm per 250 meters was used as a simple indicator of height.
