When creating designs, considerations need to be taken on the accessibility needs of the intended audience. A design with poor accessibility can limit the impact or understanding of the message.
Comms Fail is a performance art piece by artist Roy Claire Potter created as part of Liverpool Biennial. The piece explores everyday communication failures and highlights the experiences of the neurodiverse community.
As much of the expected audience of the performance was predicted to be neurodiverse, creating an accessible yet aesthetic programme was incredibly important to ensure key information could be quickly accessed in a non-overwhelming way. The graphical elements of the piece were taken from Potter's catalogue of work for the performance to help create a predictable experience for those who could benefit from this.
